1. 01Acceptance

   By using the EIF networking portal you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

   These terms are a legally binding agreement between you and Energy Investors Forum Ltd..

2. 02Access and eligibility

   The portal is private and access is granted only to:

   • Confirmed delegates, speakers and sponsors of the Energy Investors Forum.
   • Company representatives verified by the EIF team.
   • People explicitly invited by EIF.

3. 03Your account

   You are responsible for:

   • Keeping your sign-in credentials confidential.
   • Everything that happens under your account.
   • Keeping your profile accurate, current and professional.
   • Signing out on shared devices - you can review and revoke active sessions in your account settings.

4. 04Acceptable use

   You agree not to use the portal to:

   • Harass, threaten or harm another member.
   • Send unsolicited commercial messages, spam or bulk communications.
   • Impersonate anyone, or misrepresent who you work for.
   • Upload or transmit malicious code.
   • Attempt to access another member's account or our infrastructure.
   • Scrape or programmatically extract member data without our written consent.
   • Break any applicable law.

5. 05Member communications

   The portal carries direct messages and meeting scheduling between verified members. Communications must stay professional and in the spirit of business networking.

   We do not routinely read message content. Where a member reports a message, we will review the reported conversation and may suspend or remove an account in response.

6. 06Intellectual property

   The platform's content, branding, design and software belong to Energy Investors Forum Ltd. or its licensors. You may not copy, redistribute or create derivative works from it without our written consent.

   You keep ownership of what you post. By posting it you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to display it inside the platform so that the service can work.

7. 07Disclaimers and liability

   The platform is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

   To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the platform.

8. 08Termination

   We may suspend or end your access at any time, including for a breach of these terms, for conduct towards other members, or at the conclusion of the event period.

   You can ask us to delete your account at any time by writing to [email protected].

9. 09Governing law

   These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes under them fall to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

10. 10Changes

    We may change these terms. We will tell you about material changes by email or an in-platform notification, and continuing to use the portal afterwards means you accept them.
